TVF makes virals on a commercial basis, but we are not an agency.

In fact we work in precisely the opposite way to an agency. We would even suggest that it is impossible to make really virulent virals through a system which is based around traditional 'bought' media. Viral marketing works through space which is won rather than bought. Virals are not just on-line TV ads.

Our approach is to create viral 'engines' which can drive a campaign. Our contributing creatives are free to supply us any idea at any time as long as it is fresh, original and will produce a viral effect. They do not work to specific client briefs, however we may ask them for ideas that reflect your product or brand in a general way.

So how does a brand benefit? We work around the concept of sponsored content. We match each client with a suitable viral 'engine' which already exists in some form. The clip is not made with a particular brand shoehorned into the script, it is designed purely to go viral. The brand is associated in an explicit but non-intrusive way - through a URL or a "Sponsored by..." tag. Viral communities appreciate this type of association much more than overtly corporate and intrusive advertising, which can kill a viral off almost immediately.

Moreover, virals are different from other media in that they are actively passed from person to person, or from a person to a group of friends. On pressing the send button a friend-brand-friend association is made as the Sender effectively 'recommends' not only the clip but also the brand. Brand value is gained in the association with the friend as much as the clip's contents.
